A Good Way to Switch Multiple Apple IDs Without Having to Authenticate Every Time

On iOS Devices:

  1. Go to “Settings” > “Mail” > “Accounts” > “Add Account”.
  2. Tap on “iCloud”, log in with your other Apple ID, and complete the two-factor authentication.
  3. If you don’t want to receive iCloud emails from the other Apple ID, go back to “Settings” > “Mail” > “Accounts”, tap on the other Apple ID, choose “iCloud”, and turn off “iCloud Mail”.

On macOS Devices:

  1. Navigate to “System Preferences” > “Internet Accounts”.
  2. Choose “iCloud”, log in with your other Apple ID, and complete the two-factor authentication.
  3. To stop receiving iCloud emails from the other Apple ID, in “System Preferences” > “Internet Accounts”, select the other Apple ID and deactivate “iCloud Mail”.

By following these steps, switching accounts in the App Store won’t require a new two-factor authentication code, and each device that has been logged into can act as a trusted device for receiving verification codes for new devices.

On Lower Versions of iOS Devices:

  1. Go to “Settings” > “Passwords & Accounts” > “Add Account”.
  2. Tap on “iCloud”, log in with your other Apple ID, and complete the two-factor authentication.
  3. To not receive iCloud emails from the other Apple ID, go to “Settings” > “Passwords & Accounts”, tap the other Apple ID, and turn off “iCloud Mail”.

If you cannot find “Mail” in the iOS device’s settings, it might be because the “Mail” app was deleted. In that case, you can go to “Settings” > “Contacts”, “Calendar”, or “Reminders” (choose one) > “Accounts” > “Add Account” to complete the process
